Independent Adjusters Play Vital Role For TW in Efficiently Resolving Claims

Independent adjusters evaluate about half of the claims filed on behalf of TW property and casualty policyholders. The rest are handled in-house by the current staff of three senior field adjusters under David J. Schweitzer, Vice President/Chief Claims Officer, and Isaac S. Graham, Assistant Vice President. You, too, may qualify as an approved independent adjuster or become part of TW’s growing claims staff.

“I’d put our team up against any company our size,” says Schweitzer of a proven claims process that almost always starts with the independent agent working closely with an underwriter. New claims are closely monitored by Graham, resulting in a response that Schweitzer describes as “overwhelmingly positive.”

Did You Know?

In dealing with claims, TW relies on a network of adjusters with Chief Claims Officer Dave Schweitzer at the helm. Schweitzer says there were about 2,200 claims between TW and Keystone National Insurance Company in the previous year, with in-house adjusters handling about 58 percent of them. The rest are handled by independents, a number of whom have draft authority of up to $5,000 for quick payment of damages.
